Choir

All Saints' Choir, Leamington, with Carlo Curley All Saints' Choir (left with Carlo Curley) was formed as a surpliced choir in 1842, and has a long tradition of fine choral music. In term time it sings the Eucharist every Sunday morning, and Choral Evensong twice a month. The choirmaster, Julian Parkin, is always pleased to hear from singers interested in joining us; and we offer choral scholarships for sixth-formers and university students.

Singing in a choir is an exciting way of developing musical skill
for everyone; furthermore, research shows that choir children do better at school in all subjects. The choir's repertoire includes interesting and beautiful music from the 9th to the 21st centuries; and its vibrant social life culminates annually in a cathedral visit - in August 2010 it was in residence at Ely (photographs), and in 2011 it will be singing at St George's Chapel, Windsor and at Chichester Cathedral.

During term time the choir meets as follows
FRIDAY
Choir Practice: 7.30 - 9.00 pm
SUNDAY
Communion: 10.30am (rehearsal 9.45am) & Evensong: 4.30pm (rehearsal 3.30pm) [1st & 3rd Sundays only]

Listen

Silent Night by Andy Guthrie (pdf) and There is no rose by Simon Tayton.

The Friends of All Saints Music (FASM)
support the choir financially, providing for robes, music and social life by means of fundraising events such as concerts and organ recitals. They also subsidise the cathedral visits and scholarships.
